Lanternfall
★★★★★ 4.6
Lanternfall is quiet and lovely. You play a lamplighter making the long walk home, tapping to interact with a town that keeps rearranging itself in small, dreamlike ways. There's no fail state — the puzzles are about noticing things, not beating a clock.
The art carries a lot of the mood, all warm light and long shadows, and the sound design does the rest. We finished it in two sittings and immediately wanted to replay the middle stretch, which is its best compliment. A few puzzles lean a little obscure, but a subtle hint system keeps you moving.
It's short, and that's the point. As a wind-down game before sleep, few things on mobile do it better.
